Sending Email to Sawada Denki
Your email to Sawada Denki (a small electronics retailer in Osaka,
Japan) is a space-age miracle that is likely to be bridging two very
different cultures: the ancient Confucian culture of Japan, and the
fast paced ``I gotta have it now'' culture of the West. Please try and
follow these guidelines to help ensure good communication between you
and Sawada Denki.
- Please be polite! I have never seen Sawada Denki be rude,
unfair or deceptive to customers, so if you are having some kind of
problem, please don't assume that this is the case. At worst they
might be a little slow, due to their work load and email traffic
(see frivolous email, below). Please start letters off with "Dear
Mr. Uchida", or "Dear Uchida-san". (Addressing a Japanese person by
their first name is simply not-done, unless you are a family member or
a close personal friend.)
- Please don't send frivolous email. If you are fairly sure you are
going to buy something from them but want to ascertain some aspect of
the purchase, then a brief email with your question is appropriate. If
you would like confirmation that your order has arrived or have some
problem with your order, email is also
appropriate. However, questions about which unit is better, what color
looks best, or rambling emails about how cool MD is are likely to go
unanswered at best, and slow things down for everybody else at
worst. Please use the MD Community page and the MD mailing list to
find answers to these general questions.
- Please write clearly and concisely in plain English. Be
considerate of the time it takes for non native speakers to handle
incoming email. Clear, concise and polite email messages are the goal.
- Please keep your requests and purchases simple. These web pages
are set up for Sawada Denki to sell portable MD equipment. Some
variation in orders is to be expected, since not everything can be
expressed on a form, but please don't stray too far. Stick with MD
portables and their accessories and you'll be in keeping with the
spirit of what these pages were provided for.
- Thank you for your patience and help in keeping this avenue
for purchasing MD equipment open! Customers who exercise care in
preparing their order make it easy for Sawada Denki, and encourage
them to do a good job serving you.
Thanks for reading through all these instructions! Here is the email
address for Mr. Uchida, of Sawada Denki: [email protected].
This email reaches him at home, in the evening. Please allow at least
24 hours for a reply.
Thank you again for your care and attention in sending email to Sawada
Denki.
