More to the point, the remote takes the ordinary mini-plug head phone jack, not the notorious micro-jack. Thank you Sony!

Danger! Although compatible with the R30 and the R50, it does not have all the functionality that one could wish. It has no track mark button. If you MUST have the ability to create track marks from a headphone remote, you need the RM-MZR50, sold as a spare part.
