Features: Kenwood "Rampage" line. MDX-J9 is world's first NetMD "Radio-MD" (boombox). MDX-J9 version is NetMD capable, MDX-J7 is not. Operates on AC or drycell batteries. 2X CD->MD recording. Thin, foldable body design borrows styling elements from previous MDX-G7 system. LCD can display Kanji titles and doubles as a clock when the unit is switched off. Employs "Mulia" ("Muria"?), Kenwood's own NetMD compliant Windows software for downloading and control. "Supreme-2" software package (or audio decoder?) provided for PC based playback of audio files. FM section is Japanese-band only. Units can also be used as powered speakers for USB-based audio output from PC.

Included Accessories: Card-sized remote control, AM antenna, MDX-J9: USB cable, "Mulia" NetMD software.
