Sawada Denki Warranty Policy
Portable MD units bought from Sawada Denki are either International
models with one year parts and three months labor warranties that are
valid world-wide, or Japanese domestic models with one year parts and
labor warranties valid in Japan only.
Warranty Service for International Models
Warranty repair service for International models can be obtained by
contacting the manufacturer's service organization in your home
country. In addition to their world-wide warranty, International
models receive one year parts and labor warranty coverage in Japan.
If repair under the Japanese domestic warranty is desired,
International models may be returned to Sawada Denki by following the
directions for Japanese domestic models, below.
Warranty Service for Japanese Domestic Models
Sawada Denki will accept machines they have sold for warranty repair
providing the customer pays shipping to and from Japan. If you are
certain that the unit's problem is unrelated to its accessories or battery,
they need not be sent. Units should be well packaged and must include
funds to cover return shipping, as indicated below.

Before returning an item for warranty repair, please contact Sawada Denki by email to notify
them of the problem. Payment for shipping fees should preferably be
made with an International Postal Money order or in cash (in US$ or
JPYen). If paying by Bank Draft in JPYen, an additional JPY 3000 must
be added to cover bank transaction fees, if paying by wire transfer,
an additional JPY 2500 must be added.
